Jayanti Project in Bhogpur, India
Since March 2004, eight foster children from different villages in the area have grown up on our project. Deepak, Durga, Hari-Satyam, Rekha, Sundaram, Shivam, Luxmi and Yogendra received the necessary support for a self-determined life with perspective with the help of Manavata e.V. and are now taking the final steps into independence with their professional training. For many years, the project has offered the children a home where they could grow up, learn and develop in a family atmosphere.

The Manavata association
The non-profit association Manavata e.V. was founded in 1998 in Neuwied. The purpose of the association is ‘the promotion of village and urban development, agriculture, pedagogy, healthcare, science and arts in India’.
An essential element of this support are measures of vocational and pedagogical education. It is provided as a preventive, constructive and curative life aid for adolescents and adults who are dependent on the help of others due to their economic situation or as a result of their physical, mental or mental condition. The aim is also to promote relations between India and Germany in the spirit of international understanding, e.g. through exchange programmes and internships. The association has launched the Jayanti project in the Indian village of Bhogpur, which it finances through donations.
The association is run on a voluntary basis and receives support from former interns. There are therefore virtually no costs for the administration, so that almost one hundred percent of the collected donations benefit the project and its on-site support.
